For unique parts and small series with large diameters, the use of a milling machine or a machining center can be avoided. The Donaumeric is placed here on a socle and is machining a part that may be 1.300mm high. There is no need to center-clamp the part. The radial arm moves in any programmed position. Alternatively, larger parts are placed on a rotary indexing table, controlled by the 5th axis of the Donameric. The radial arm is statically positioned and the indexing table turns the part into the drilling position.
